Banana Phone – Freeze Drying Maui Bananas Hawaiian Style

There isn’t a better or more delicious appliance in the home than a Harvest Right home version freeze dryer! Hardly a day goes by when we don’t have 5 trays of something freeze drying. Bananas seem to be everyone’s favorite, so we experimented at Christmas and sprinkled the batches in the trays when they finished the initial freeze in the refrigerator freezer with red and green cane sugars. Then we loaded them into “Frances” (our Harvest Right freezer) for about 18 hours, and when completed – packed them up in mylar bags.
